BETTY SHOOT CONT.

So on Friday I spent the day with Alexander Jordan and Miss Carla Grima's legs for a photoshoot that will hopefully be going into the next issue of BETTY. Can't show any of the pics yet of course but here are a couple of shots of two of the Locations shot by Alexander Jordan.

The colours and the lighting on these shots were really beautiful.

Oh what we will do to make sure we can return the shoes unmarked!

I've been asked to style a shoot for Alexander Jordan tomorrow so i have spent the evening piecing outfits together with fabulous model Charlie and my lovely assistant Katie-Anne!

We are confident he will do a good job! 

Todays Shoot

So today was the day of the group collection photo shoot! was alot of work to get there but its deff been worth it! I've not slept much this week coz ive been busy sewing away but I've eneded it with chilla night drinking with friends! I had to post a few behind the scenes pics though before i upload the edited images from the shoot! we had an amazing photographer come in for us and im really happy with the effects she created works so well with our theme! 

The day started pretty early! we had planned to get Jordan's shoot done today but models can be pretty unreliable so 9.30 came and we only had one when minimum needed really was 2! so the clothes came out for no reason and it had to be rescheduled to Saturday! which is probably better as it means i can actually be there! 

I'm so happy our collection has been shot and shot well! I hopefully will have edited the best pictures by tomorrow so i will post them up as soon as i can! as for now check out some iphone snaps from behind the scenes...

It was such a fun shoot and i think we managed to get some really strong shots and the collection came really well together in the end! was so much better than i thought it would be so over all I'm really pleased! 

Femme Fatale

So i thought it was about time i did something with my jacket from a tailoring project i had to do a while ago. I hate tailoring. With a passion. So to bring a bit more me into it i did something a little bright and fun to play with! I do however have quite a contrasting dark side so had to add a bit of goth into it with the black. love it. Heres a sneak at the first image to come out of it more exciting ones on the way though!!

The theme behind the jacket was titled Femme Fatale after one of my favourite songs by the amazing velvet underground! I used those lyrics and looked at strong female icons throughout history taking the elements of their personalities which seem to run throughout to come up with a concept. I also looked at bondage and fetish hence the long sleeves and ties... the back of the jacket didn't work as well in the main fabric as it did in the toile, which was quite disappointing as it was a main feature, which just sort of droops pathetically in the fabric used in the final garment but there we go... calico is shit and misleading from now on I'm going to use as similar fabric i can find cheap to the main one i intend to use so that doesn't happen again!! 

My housemate Naomi Brown would like to get into styling so once i found the accessories and make up i wanted i got her on board to direct the shoot. Rose Jocham is my amazing model she can be found on the Profile model agency site! Last but not least! The amazing photography was done by Alexander Jordan!
