CATHERINE DAY

Last week I sent away some samples to be photographed by a lovely photographer Catherine Day and I have just received the images today.

LIVE PHOTO SHOOT

So a while ago I styled a live photo shoot during 'Fish and Chips, Twice Please?!' and i'm happy to say the images are finally out! The photography was done by Alexander Jordan who once again did an amazing job...

Above is the image of my work in the exhibition space the model Roksana from LOOK was such a great model and was perfect for the concept of the shoot.

BETTY SHOOT CONT.

So on Friday I spent the day with Alexander Jordan and Miss Carla Grima's legs for a photoshoot that will hopefully be going into the next issue of BETTY. Can't show any of the pics yet of course but here are a couple of shots of two of the Locations shot by Alexander Jordan.

The colours and the lighting on these shots were really beautiful.

Oh what we will do to make sure we can return the shoes unmarked!

SHOOT FOR BETTY

I have just finished packing all the stuff for a shoot i am styling for tomorrow! Havn't had chance to do that in a while so its exciting! I know i am a fashion design student, but i think its so important to explore other areas of the fashion industry to get a greater understanding of all the aspects envolved making yourself versatile and employable!


Anyway I am styling a shoot that will be Photographed once again by Alexander Jordan this time for BETTY magazine. The main focus of the shoot tomorrow is shoes and tights which will be matched with locations and only the legs and maybe parts of skirts and dresses will be shown! I put a quick crop in of some of the tights i have got together, many different colours patterns and textures!

I'll post some "behind the scenes" images tomorrow also i had my first review today! which was scary but went well so i will be writing all about that as well! Right now though i really must sleep!

NEW IMAGES

Alexander Jordan has just sent my some new retouched images he'd been working on from the Femme Fatale shoot we did many months ago. He managed to get some great close up shots which shows the make-up i did really well. I love the stuff we used on the skin to giver her face a good sheen! Any way here are the images...

Been a while (shamefully)

I hate it when people start a post with this but i have to admit I've been pretty poor with the blog updates since uni finished! I have been a bit all over the place with a trip to Malta and various places up n down the country! I do hope to get back on top of things very soon though what with my collection looming close by!

I blogged a while ago now about a Puma shoot i assisted on with Emma Bell for an advert in Notion Magazine, well the issue is out now so here are the final images...


I have also just purchased a domain name for my website! EXCITING! Hopefully in the next few hours i shall have my first (basic until the proper one gets made) website up and running at www.emmabox.com so check it out tomorrow!

I think thats about all i have to say for now!

Updates

I have created a myspace to go alongside my blog another way to promote it and what not! so if your a myspace fan go add me as a friend here 

I have also added a page to the blog which shows my portfolio to date. I just edited an old post and linked it at the side so if you want to check it out its a nice and easy click away! 

Hopefully get a couple of shoots done soon try out a bit more of this styling malarky! Hopefully get one done with Alexander Jordan soon and also Photographer James Frew contacted me asking if i would like to do something so gonna get my thinking cap on!

Had a little break

So second year is over and I've managed to celebrate by having myself a little break making the most of the hot weather! it really has been AMAZING! Check out this beautiful view of london,

We managed to find that when we took a trip to Hampstead Heath such an amazing view! Took a while to find it but it was worth it in the end! I've also been to visit my friend in kingston, stayed with my brother and met up with my mum in london and now I'm back in my little village in Leicestershire for a few days! 

I do have something fashion related to blog about though! As I have been assisting Emma Bell since February i got to go and help her out with the styling for a photo shoot the other day. Again it was for Notion Magazine but this time it was for an advert for Puma. Puma are one of Notions sponsors so they sent over loads of stuff which we had to make four looks out of, two for a girl and two for a guy. 

It was a fun shoot and was shot outside on location which was really nice as the london sun was beaming and it was very very hot! I'm looking forward to seeing the final images i think they will look really cool, and Puma had a few really hot pieces who knew they were going all fashion now!

More shoot with Alexander Jordan...

Helped with some more styling for Alexander Jordan's latest project, continued from last weeks. Did a few shots in the day and have just been out to get some night time shots with the scooter! Heres one of the images from earlier today...

Was fun day! we had a BBQ mid shooting, good times.

Bored...

So while i wait for the email containing the Marketing report words so i can make that i thought id set up a new myspace to go alongside this blog! I'm still trying to make it snazzy so once its done ill post up the URL. 

Also i have a couple more backstage pictures from last weeks shoot...

This picture below shows the make-up pretty well! we chose to use a brown shadow on the eye with a liner of black some fake eyelashes and white eyeliner which gives it a softer effect!

I have been asked by Alexander jordan to help style another shoot for him and Charlie Oscar same thing as the previous one we did the other day but gonna do a few more looks n maybe get some shots at night with the scooter! should be fun! 

Got to go to sassoon tomorrow for a consultation for this shoot find out what ill have done to my hair and make-up exciting! hope its gonna be good! 

Naomi Styles

Had a busy day! did lotsa work with my group in the library then did a shoot for a friend! Shoot was for a magazine that is to be produced by Topshop the theme was pretty girly and flowery! so it was hard because that soooo not me! was fun though! Ended the day by cooking a meal for my boyfriend! 

My housemate Naomi used my jacket in her shoot today for her magazine project! its really cool to see how someone else interprets your design! The styling and photos are so different than the ones i shot the other day! I really love how strong and powerful they are!

Update

After spending all afternoon on the computer i got to have a nice evening in london! went to oxford street first and bought that american apparel leotard i'd been wanting for ages! looks so nice! i just had to get it!

Someone else from  vidal sassoon approached me in topshop about doing a photo shoot for them so ill get a cut and colour for it and a make up artist from vogue will be doing my make-up and the sassoon casting director will be their to sort it so seems more fun than what I've been doing so i said id do that instead of the other stuff! I have to go in one day this week to sort out what I'm gonna have done with the hair and make-up and so they can take a Polaroid etc so hopefully that will be fun! 

Rebecca on promotion said the shoot went well with my jacket in on friday! so i should hopefully get a couple of photos from that by the end of the week! My housemate should be using my jacket from the collection in a shoot tomorrow also so that should be cool!

Busy day tomorrow gotta meet with my group and try and get this marketing report and promotion booklet done! Also modeling for a friend on promotion for her magazine! hope that goes ok! Then cooking for the boyfriend in the evening! 

life is pretty good at the moment. lets hope it stays that way for a while!!

is so boring sometimes! have alot to do this week before hand in! i hope i can manage it all! i cant believe thats second year almost done with! We will be getting our brief for the final collection soon! FUCK! Hopefully tomorrow i will have the main layout for the Marketing report and look book done so then i can carry on with my own stuff! Off into london soon, my aunty is down for work so we are going for something to eat which should be a nice break! I'll have to carry on with the work when i get back though. I can't wait till summer!

I have to make a look book and a marketing report for the promotion side of the group collection so i spent last night playing around with the images from the shoot to come up with different things to include in the layout.
